nope, there was on ebay a EB XR8 style headlight, like the old XF's.. but that was 1 of 5 ever made, didnt look too bad, but would have looked more like a ford..

i've been searching for this style too, been looking for a cheap set of vs headlights so i can have a go at modifying one..

the problem with modifying your own set... is roadworthy... im pretty sure they have to conform to a specific Aust Standards ??

yes, i know, some euro headlights arent A.S... but making your own? thats a bit silly?

? why do you say making your own is silly? when ppl to the HID conversion, they're modifying the light, cutting bits to make them fit.. hinterland has made his own, and they look good. custom GTS-R looking lights. i understand that it could cause fire if not done right, or short something out, but its all about time and patience

if its got the ADR logo on it, which it will becoz its etched / stamped on the glass, i dont think they'll knock it back. i know its risky, but so is modding your car. there are a lot of cars that arent roadworthy.

im happy to have a crack, its something different and i know a few ppl have inquired abou them, but u cant get em. if i get off my ass and trial it, worst case, they never go on, or they could look good and set my car aside from everone else.

haha just the other day i was thinking of doing something like this!
I was thinking best way to do it would be to get a set of munro head lights and then mod bonnet and guards to suit! would cost a pretty penny to do right but might bea nice touch! what we really need is a photo chop of the front of a vs with the munro lights thrown on!

ermmmm... dunno... VT/VX front on a VS... I bought my VS because it looks sleek and agressive... the VT/VX is a bubble! last thing i wanna do is make the front half of my car look like a bubble!

no im not sayin to change the front guards/bonnet ect im saying to moddify the bonet/guards so that the munro lights suit the vs body while still keeping the vs shape! this is why i asked for a photo chop!

ahhh... but still... the sleek style H/Lights are part of the look... "widening" them would destroy the look... but hey... give it a photo-chop... be interesting to see!

I think the VT/X sized are to big to look right in a VR/S,no matter what the style.Ive wondered on modding the VR/S head lights, maybe change the chrome shiney bit inside the light to a shiney black,i even thought of putting in "angel eyes" if black chrome goes well

i think the angel eyes wont look right in the standard VR-S headlight, only becoz none of the mouldings are round, and it would end up hindering the light at night..

still trying to find a cheap set of vt lights so i can hack em up.

there all cost around $300, and the cheapest i've found is 280, hoping for a damaged set. im not paying $300 for a trial run to hack up, if all goes well then yes maybe

mate, if you see a cheap set, post up or PM me

I Should be able to get a set for cheap which i can tinker with.I just thought i'd try the angel eyes at some stage if i was in a roll. The idea was to get a bendy white neon and insert it just behind the plastic to prevent heat getting the better of it.
