    Default Bosch 040 in a VR/VS

has anyone fitted a Bosch 040 pump into a VR/VS sedan tank? From a quick look it looks like the opening has to be cut out.

Can anyone whos done it before post up any tips or pics?

ive got one in. Walbro GSS 342 is a similar pump too. the pump carrier needs to be trimmed a bit and a little rewiring. thats about it. They are noisey as hell though!.. well mine and my mates (R32 skyline) are.

    No pics here tho sorry.

The pumps should physically be the same size (stock & Bosch). If you are having trouble manouvering it into the tank, its prob best to drain some of the fuel out and drop the tank out (or down at least..)

if you fit it correctly, no, it doesnt hit the bottom of the tank. It should fit in identically to the position of the original pump.

i managed to make it fit in alright, as i said some mods will need to be made to the pump carrier. The tightest spot is when manouvering it assembly into the tank (hole)
