Air Con Noise

Hi guys

Just today I have started getting a high pitched hissing sound from the passenger foot well when the A/C is on. It is just loud enough to be audible just above the engine and fan.

Normally i would hear an occassional gurgle from the system as the aircon switched on and off but this is a new and annoying noise.

Has anyone come across this before.

Could be something like a leaf or piece of plastic or whatever caught up in the aircon fan - these can rub against the squirrel fan and make a squeal.
