have no manual (yet) but is there any adjustment on belt?.also is there a replacement time limit?.
no there is no adjustment for the belt, it is self tensioned.
not to sure on the time limit...maybe, uhh around 20,000kms?
some one else can confirm with you on that.
Replace the belt when it begins to show sings of wear likely to result in failure. That could be anywhere between 10,000 - 200,000 km more or less.
There are also markings on the tensioner which indicate if the belt has stretched too much and needs replacing.
MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
thanks a lot folks, must get manual. happy with car after 20 yrs of falcons.
i believe that a belt is considered used after 10 minutes worth of driving. I'm pretty sure thats what my cd said.. could have been in the book for the car.
