Where to buy performance parts for V6 ?

Does anyone know a good parts shop / speed shop that stocks parts for a VS V6 ? I've had a look in just parts mag and most of it is V8 , and the V6 stuff is mostly in Melbourne. Are there any shops in Sydney better than Repco and Supacheap.

what sort of gear are you after? most of the time its a case of getting it straight off the manufacturer, like yella terra, etc. or importer, like rocket industries, etc.

go down to your local supercheap or autobarn

i know at supercheap we can get all rocket industries gear in, etc

Yeah really depends on what you want. Most ppl with a VS V6 would just go roller rockers, and i would 100% agree to just deal with yella terra directly.
But repco and what not can pretty much get anything u want in, like cams and what not, but you have to know what you want to begin with.
Its not something they keep on the shelf

agree with all that , i was just hoping to find the bunnings of speed shops, and actually see the stuff in the flesh and what it costs. Thats 1 reason i like supacheap cos most of the stuff is on the shelf and you can look at it and read the packs and compare the details. All the good stuff at Repco is behind the counter.
Stuff like hi power coils, leads, CAI, Yella terra heads, nolathane bushes, strut braces, valves. oh , and a billet tensioner pulley , cos the one i got in autobahn 2 years ago is getting noisy. Is there anywhere thats got all that kind of gear in the one place ?

Auto barn has coils, leads CAI on display, atleats they do at the 2 shops near me. bushes i got from repco and they had them in stock i just asked to have a look and they got them for me.

anything other than that unfortunatly is pretty much only ever ordered in when its needed, or you need to get it direct from manufacturer.

its a shame realy id love to go into an auto performance superstore and see things like C.O.M.E twin throttle bodies and yella terra rockers and raptor superchargers that i can pick up have a look at etc and then hand over my cash and take it home that day.

exactly , it would be good. I went into a genuine speed shop yesterday and asked what they have for V6 commoderes. ( they had roller rockers etc on display but they were all V8 )The 2 blokes looked at each other and said we don't do much of that - "We should do more V6 parts" Hope they do.

Are you interested in Ebay by any chance? There are stores on that site I think that do direct sells without having to bid on a private sellers item. There seems to be a bunch of stuff there and a few hop-up stores with various gear for sale.

As for nolathane bushes, strut braces and the like there should be a few suspension places around you area. Talk with some people about who they go to (and trust) and check the places out for items of your interest. Most suspension bushes and stuff afaik would be the same for v6 or v8 VS's so its not much of a sole v6 issue and more of finding a decent place with good service and prices.
