If it's going good why change type/brand? I'd stay with Mobil 15w40.

Oil is a very personal thing, so if you are happy with Mobil, stick with it. I personally use Valvoline in my 5.0 but any decent brand is fine IMHO. Far more important is to change the oil and filter regularly, at least every 10k.

As above , as long as it has a decent rating at least SL/CF or better still SM/CF.
And when it gets really black change it, 10K at the most , 8k is even better if you don't mind the few extra dollars it will ultimately keep your engine running better for longer.

I would think 15w40 is too thin, but if its working for you then go with it. Just stick to a decent oil brand.
I would be using a 20w50 though but meh

Yer alot of people are using the wrong oil, its even common knowledge that even most mechanics don`t use the right oil for your car.
here`s a little help for you as viscosity and grade are really important for engine health.
