last week my ute started to jump and cut out as if it was out of fuel or trying to stall while driving along. When it cuts out the orange warning light on the dash illuminates. i have been told you can bridge out two wires on the plug near the fuses in the dash and it makes the orange warning light flash a code. Can anyone PLEASE tell me which 2 wires you brigde to get the code.

THANK YOU

To clear faults there are 2 ways.

1) disconnect the battery for approx 15 minutes ( some may require longer )
2) with the battery disconnected remove the 20amp yellow ENGINE fuse located
In fuse box under the bonnet. Then reconnect the battery and turn the ignition key 2 turns. So as to have dash lights on but motor not cranking. Do this for approx 1-2 minutes. Then turn ignition fully off disconnect battery, replace fuse turn ignition to all reds again.

Once that is done bridge connectors 5 & 6 on diagnostics connector
with the ignition OFF located right at the bottom of
The inspection flap at drivers side foot well.
To find connectors 5 & 6 count top row left to right.
Preferably use a paper clip as it will give you a good solid connection.
THEN COUNT HOW MANY TIMES ENGINE LIGHT WILL FLASH.
First flash tens eg 1 flash = the tens so 1 = 10
Second flash units eg 2 flashes = units so 2 = 2
Put the numbers together and you get 12.
Don't stop at the first set of numbers let at least 6 to 7 sets go rhrought.
Hope this helps.
