engine geting warm

i own a 95 vs on the way into town the over day the water temp just gradully rised 2 a lil over half and keped rising slowly so when i got home checked everything water and colent levels are ok . i do have a ****ed accesorys belt tho slips a lil umm yer so any ideas some of my mates have said thermo but im not sure thanks

change your belt if its fked.
does the fan kick in at all??

I dont think the thermo fan kicks in untill about 2/3 on the gauge it can be pretty normal for them to raise to this if you are in heavy traffic, if the temp does not drop after that or the fan doesnt kick in you have problems

my fan kicks in around 1/3 at low speed and high speed at 1/2
