Hi all,
My VR makes a clunking sound and jolts forward a little when putting the auto into reverse or drive. I am right to say the uni joint is stuffed?
It also has a vibration when accelerating hard or going up a hill, i think this is the centre bearing?
Any info/help would be appreciated, cheers.
By the sounds of your description, that would be the first thing i'd start looking at.
Yeah i thought i was on the right track, thanks mate.
Is there any other things that would cause this jolting?
i'd look at the centre bearing first. mine was stuffed and clunked into gear too, but if i booted it in first and backed off before it chaged into second it would "smack" at the back of the car. i thought the diff was stuffed aswell but a new centre bearing fixed it
