    Default VS fuelpump

Hi all, i've just tried to start my VS series two and failed miserably, a little engine splutter is all i get...
Now, i tested the pump wires and there is power getting to the pump but i hear no pump noise when cranking or when turning to the on position as you normally would.

Could this be the source of the problem?
Am i supposed to hear a little noise of the pump putting pressure into the line before cranking?

And, also, before i take the pump off, i notice two lines coming from the pump, only one has a fuel pilter on it and the other doesn't. why is this?

    cheers, Matt

why would it need 2 filters? goes threw the filter comes back in other hose and goes threw filter again.

yes if its not making any noise most likely your prob. try hitting under the tank with a rubber mallet kicks them back into life sometimes for a short while though, till it completely dies. happened to me at shopping center hit it, got it home changed pump all good.

Sounds like you have found the problem. If there is power to the pump but the pump is not doing anything there is really nothing else. Just to confirm you are sure you measured the voltage on the right two wires?

    Thanks for the reply.
I pulled the pump out and the connection inside was dicky and some conduit was worn away.

To me, i really think that inner fuel pumps are dangerous.
I re wired but i'm still going to buy a new pump just to be safe.
Theres one on ebay for $75 made by delphi, i assume this would be good seeing as it's delphi?.

    cheers, Matt.
