    hey guys a mate of mine wants to convert his auto vs V6 to manual wondering if any one knows of some good places around melbourne west or east suburbs i can get some quotes from?? cheers

    Theres a fairly comprehensive how-to on here, why dont you use it, will save you a packet. Better off buying a manual car then paying somone.

    Generally, you'll pay around $1500 for parts, and you'll pay between $1500-$2000 for someone to slap it all in for you.

    Or, if you've got a spare weekend, a few mates with know-how and a cold slab, you can bolt it all together in under 48hrs.

    For comparison, I had never done a manual conversion before, and working on and off, only at night, I did a full manual conversion and changed my transmission a total of three times in around 5 nights - mostly by myself.
