    Default VS dash surround

VS wagon, stock all, how do ya remove the damm black panel surrounding the main instruments (Which I want to get at), speed alert, light switch, rear demister, a/c and hazzard switches, the speedo and speed alert works fine but the tripmeter and total Kms don't turn over no more.

Got me stuffed, and not being mine I don't want to break it, was told it just clips in, i have to doubt that info as if it's clipped in they are good clips.

Did the same to my VS Ute the other day to put a tacho in whilst keeping the same speed/odometer intact. There are two screws under the top of the dash which i believe need to come out and then it pretty much unclips. Be careful so not to break any/many clips and it will come out but remember to undo each plug connector to the headlights knob, AC button, Hazard Button and Demister Button and Speed Alert if you have one.

    Hope this helps

I see the screws now, but how far does the still attached wiring allow it to come back ?

Just found this, a bit dark but looks simple enough, mine must have non std additions holding it there tight.
