i mean like going in and through the exhaust, like they have drilled a hole in the exhaust. i just thought it was weird.

I did mine like that with screws. Worked good for awhile but when I got the new uni's I just told them to weld it up, it vibrated like farkk with screws....sick of tightening them up now and then...
I could of welded it up myself but I saw the welder sitting there at the mechanics and remembered luckly, and said "ya reckon you could weld the tip up for us?" Have never been happier every since. Improved the note a hell of a lot. It use to sound like a cheap high pitch crackle sort of thing (ricer, magna) when I gave it to it lol. SO JUST WELD THE ****ER! - Sounds much better than a tinny crappy thing...

They screwed it so it can be changed easily.
Normally their tac welded and require grinding to change the tip

if its a cheapo tip i would be taking it off, becasue evn though it looks like staniless steel, it will rust badly!! (talking from experience)

I would go for a 50-60 dollar stainless tip from an exhaust shop and get them to tack weld it on to the tailpipe.
