Default vr engine light on on long trips

i just took my vr berlina for a 2 hour trip and for about the last half hour the engine light went on and started leaking a bit of water into the car. i had the climate control on the whole trip so was wondering if that impacted the water coming into the drivers side of the car? i stopped for a few hours to do some things and then travelled home, and same thing happened the light came on with about half an hour to go. i had been going 110 for the majority of the trip and there didnt seem to be any lagging or anything like that but when we got into city driving, the light was still on and the only thing that was a bit different was it was a bit jerking changing gears from 1st to 2nd. any ideas of what happened?

Water in the cab could be a blocked A/C drain on under the heaterbox on the tranny hump. it's a buger to get to but if its blocked the condensation runs back into the car.

As for the engine light the car should have some error codes stored in the ECU. You will need to use the paper clip in the diag plug under the glovebox to see what codes come out.

There is a thread on this site on how to check for error codes if you've not done it before - just use the search function and you should find it easy enough.

    12 is all systems good.
