you will need the wiring loom for all the new features that the lux model supports, also the car keys for that BCM and then you will either need to change your key head to your keys or change the locks and ign barrel to suit

the bcms are completely different, you would need to change the complete dash wiring harness to get close to making it work

i am already running the level 3 dash cluster and instead of splicing wires into my original loom i just purchased a calais loom, all of that is fitted, but there are no loose plugs on it, is it a totally seperate loom again or what? i will get down to pick a part in a week or 2 but was hoping to get it fitted before then if possible. thanks

Exclamation BCM Fault in VX Commodore

I have been having a problem with my car lately. It's been getting harder to start each day. I had it tested at a garage and they said the BCM has logged a fault code and the BCM itself is at fault. They recommend I replace the BCM and the two keys. They said it would be around $1100.00 to fix it.
Is there anything I can do first to try and fix it?

    Please help

You are being ripped, $1100 for a BCM and 2 Keyheads is just ridiculas. You can get a BCM and key heads from most wreckers for under $150 and it is easy to fit.

All I can say is don't go back to that garage. As already said, buy a second hand BCM or get a new one for less than have of what you were quoted.
