make sure you havent shorted out 2 wires behind the cd player, or cut any wires. id pull it out and tape up/cable tie any loose cables just to be safe

    ^^ agreed ^^

you have obviously touched/joined, the wrong set of wires, as above, remove ur cd unit, check all wiring. i would almost run new wires for power and ground too.

running new wires would help... actually thats another thing... make sure your running your ground wire to the chassis of the car, dont try n find a neutral wire.

hey i have jsut fixed a problem with a stereo i just installd in my gf sisters car and then i had NO parklights anyway after a long time of research and mucking about i relised that i had the earth running through the illumination wire so i earthed it to the chasis and ran the illumination wire through the acc and now all is good as for your problem i would say that you have your illumination wire bridged across your memory wire somewere find that and that should fix it

^ same thing happend to my mates patrol, installed cd player, kept blowing fuses and end result in no parkers, grounded earth to chasis, replaced the fuse and happy days..

simple mistake, but can cause weird ass issues
