aircon/fan thingy not working correctly

in my vs executive the fan speed switch has to be on 3 or 4 for the fan to work, why wouldn't 1 and 2 spd work.

Looks like your fan resistor is buggered. Can be found under the plastic wiper cover.

Wipers off and plastic cover off. Fan resistor sits on top of the heater box under the plastic. When the thin wire burns out fan speed 1 & 2 stop working. Takes about 1 half hour to replace.

I have the same problems,, does anyone have the link on how to?? or can anyone show me step by step or any pics? what need to be fixed,, resistor or wire?
