When I start my VR berlina, black smoke comes out of the exhaust... like a fair bit of it, but only last for maybe... 10 seconds or so, but i still dont like it doing that.
what could this possibly be causing this?
i was thinking it could be the o2 censors? but could be mistaken.
thanks.
Dan.
Do a test for engine fault codes (how to section has a guide) then see where your at.

Your injectors could be leaking overnight - this floods the combustion chambers with fuel and when the engine starts it burns off the excess fuel resulting in black smoke. Cheapest fix is a tin or two of injector cleaner.
its overfuelling by the sound of it like mine is ... is the car on gas at all ? mine is also hard to start
SIR LS1
the two ton go kart
yeah i know, mines petrol too but has a gas tune so its majorly out ....... does it stink like fuel when its running

Nope, not at all.
Runs perfect, its just got some starting troubles.
Could still be the injectors leaking - try injector cleaner as a first cheap fix (alternatives will be more costly!)
