Default Loss of Acceleration after 150kms

I have a 1995 Holden VS we live in a remote area and once we have travelled +/- 150kms we loose acceleration. We pull over and let the car rest for 20 mins or so then we are off again for approx another 15-20kms and start the proceedure all over again. The mechanics have been unable to repair the problem, even though they have charged us a small fortune. The Thermastat has been replaced, and it has had a full service. Can anyone help as this is most frustrating.

VS should be able to do more than that. Had my VS up to 200km/h and it did it without too much trouble. But it was only a couple of years old. Even my sister's VN would hit 200km/h.

TRAVELLED not SPEED (or so i presume) :P

What does the temperature guage say when you hit 150kms? And how much power is lost? Is it like turning on your air conditioner?

Your all wrong its a "girl", duh, are there any other symptoms that happen at this time and does it sound rough at idle when you pull over to rest the sick old ecotec (your motor)?
I`d say BROVOTWOZERO meant it (the thread) will be closed because she said the "S" (150km/h speeding) word. ...oh ...no she didn`t, lol

Try moving to the metro area. That way you eliminate long car journeys
