    Default how to tell air bag steering wheel or not?

    Hi guys,,

    i've just bought 1995 VS commodore, Eco Tech engine, and i wanna change the steering wheel but not sure about mine, look bit big, 4 spokes,

    air bag steering wheel usually has ''SRS'' writing on it but mine do NOT..

    so, what u guys reckon??

    yeah if the emblemn is indented then no airbagg, also check under the drivers seat for a black box, but it should say srs airbag on the wheel if it has one

    is the horn held on by screws or star keys ... star keys = airbag

    Ive seen a VS that has no airbags and was told by the owner that some didnt come with bags, I dont reckon thats true anyone confirm that?

    Yes its true. It was an optional extra for an airbag on an exec model. Most exec's around would'nt have air bags.

    Wow I thought back then they were 100% mandatory thats why Holden were so proud, I guess an executive without an airbag its the ultra povo pack

    MOST don't have an airbag. Thats just factory. Not an 'ultra povo pack'.
