Hi all,
Just been to a very reputable NSW exhaust place for a quote and some ideas and based on the supercharged 6 the guy there thought extractors into 2 1/4" twin system and hi-flow cats then into a single 3" system out for tailpipe, with special custom mufflers as I want it fairly quiet and no drone.
I wasn't thinking anywhere near that size, is 3" behind the cats necessary or even too big? The car has minor mods at this stage, 87mm pulley and 1.98 ratio rockers with some fine tuning still required.
Also, I mentioned that the series III has fitting troubles of extractors as they are VS bodies fitted with VT motors as the bellhousing or something is different plus the Statesman steering setup affects it too apparently. He said it would be fine and that they use Pacemaker headers for such. Anyone know if these would fit a series 3 Stato? I didnt want to tell the guy he was mistaken but he may not have understood what I meant either.
Any ideas or experiences of a similar system would be appreciated as I need to get back to them over the next few days as they are quiet this week and could get things happening.
thanks,
Ben
