hey guys i currently have a 2 1/2 inch cat back exhaust on my vs v6 and want to know what it would sound like with the muffler removed and a hot dog muffler put in its place. The exhaust has no resonator btw

How do you know it has no resonator? It may have one built into the muffler, most do. I presume you have only the one muffler in your system, if you replace this with a hotdog, you will get booked. Plus, it will sound like sh*t.

Loud and i think it would sound pretty good... a hotdog eliminates frequencies that cause drone dont they? so you would get note, and it would be loud....
Id do it if i was thinking about changing my exhaust

For the expense it will cost in undue noise tickets,vehicle defects etc you would be better off spending your fine money for the next 12 months on a 5.0..............at least it would sound nice,not like a droning fartbox.....

leave it as is without the resonator. my mate has it too and it sounds good, replacing a muffler with a hotdog will make it sounds like a B&S country car... aka truck. it'll sound like s#!t. keep it as is just my 2c
