hey , i was just wondering if anyone would have any idea on why my rear left break light keeps blowing within in 2 weeks of me changing the globe. the parkers don't blow only the break does. ?????
A bad earth is the only thing I can think of.
wen you say only the brake does, do you mean the brake filament ? Its a stop /Tail glabe with 2 elements yes ? If it comes to the worst, you can buy new tail light harnesses from holden for about $25 per side. I had a few funny probs with my old ones so i replaced them both and all good now. Can't gaurantee this will fox your prob tho.
put in led bulbs. fixed mine
My VN blow rear lamps often...it turned out to be the holders and had to solder the connections in the lamp holders. After that all ok.
Heres a story I would like to test with others....
I had to change the radiator in the VN twice. The guy at the radiator shop said it was because of blown tail lights. Something about electrolysis chewing out the radiator because of the poor earth which was blowing the lamps. I think he was having a lend of me however he did mention it on both occassions over a 2 year period. I thought I knew something about electrics but that one had me buggered.
ok thanks everyone, im gona have a go at rewiring the earth to start of with, and then, if it still doesnt work then change the harness.
