i was going through my owners manual for a vr and it said that the 3.8L non irs had 130kW @ 4,800 RPM and the 3.8L irs had 132kW @ 4,800 RPM. why would independent rear suspension make a 2kW difference?
im thinking that either 1 is a 3.8 buick, and 1 the ecotec, or that the live-axle saps more power.
(ie more rotating mass)
both buick. and it said it in the book
As said, its 2kw who cares. Im fair sure its wrong anyway and no I do not care if its an owners manual![]()
irs gripping better on dyno ? better fuel in irs test car .. irs is lighter than a live diff ... the live axled car tester was a fatass ?
SIR LS1
the two ton go kart
That's engine kw, flywheel power, it has nothing to do with the driveline and you'ld just be a typo or just a slight variation in two different tests. IRS takes roughly 6-8rwkw extra to power over a live axel (that's from a guy that swaped his engine from IRS car to a live axel and did nothing to it other than that between dyno runs)
