Default Loss of power while turning right please help

Hi first time post on here hope you guys can help I have a VS V6 ecotech 4spd auto and have been having a problem which only seems to happen when i am turning right. I t is ok if i take i slow but if i try to take off with a bit of throttle and turning right I lose power and and a couple of times the engine has stalled. I have no problems in a straight line or turning left????? I thought maybe it had something to do with the battery/battery connections /terminals and replaced the terminals and resecured the battery but to my dissappointment the prolem was still there. It is really annoying me and would love somee suggestions or maybe some one has had the same problem? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

P.S. I have tested the comp for error codes and only get 12 which is system pass so no clues there.

How much fuel is in the tank? When you corrner all the fuel goes to one side of the tank and the pumps got nothing to suck.

I'd go with the fuel pump suggestion as well....maybe the return hose wasn't put on properly and has finally slipped off or whatever.

the baffles (swirl pot) in the tank could be stuffed may not be holding the petrol around the pump

I have recently replaced the power steering pump as the old one had ceased after the front seal went. Is there a way to check if the pressure switch on the steering rack is knackered?

I am gonna take the tank out this weekend and make sure the return valve is secured and also gonna give the TB and IAC and good clean. If the problem persists after that i suppose maybe this pressure switch could be my problem.

Anymore info on this switch would be appreciated (where to locate it, what it might cost to replace if it is gone and can i do it myself?)

Cheers everyone who has replied so far.

Maybe you should check for logged codes as it sounds more like a CAS than a FP. Check the "how to" section of this forum for advice on how to check the codes (easy) and also replacing the fuel pump (did you put enough fuel in?).
I have 4 daughters and they all fix their own cars - I've never seen any reason why they shouldn't/couldn't and they all have far more patience than I.

I wouldnt be advertising that hako. You will have guys ringing at all hours of the night wanting to talk to them!

kathy browne, you didnt mention it, so just in case. Would be worth doing the fuel filter do. Probably not going to be the problem, but dont want to overlook the simple things.

If the fuel pump is priming there is a very good chance fuel is reaching the engine. It is a fairly direct route to the injectors.

I would start with hako's suggestion, checking for error codes. May give you the answer straight away. Otherwise you are either going to be missing spark or fuel, or it is flooding (too much fuel). We can help you test these if the error codes dont help.

Anymore info on the pressure switch on the power steering rack? I took tank out today and removed sender unit and ensured return line was fitted securely, which it was, and gave the throttle body and Idle air control a good clean but to no avail still having this problem of the car losing power, but only while turning right.

Any info on how or if I can check/replace the pressure switch on the steering rack would be great. Otherwise I might have to give in and take it to a machanics.

    Cheers guys
