Hey Guys once again needing your words of wisdom
This issue i'm currently having right now is when i brake, hard or softly, i feel this shaking in the front end, I know from previous experience this could be a result of a shot steering rack, shot ball joints, shot disc roters, and probably a number of other issues...
But as i am not an expert I am needing some ideas and basic fix solutions for them, as i really don't have the cash at this point to get it looked at, and i know these kinds of issue's can get up into the $100's if not alot more!!!
So yeah to clarify shaking only occurs when braking, feels like a shudder, other than than the car drives fairly straight without issue, there's no other issues with rack making noises when cold or hard turning...
Cheers guys
can you feel the brake pedal pulse under oyur foot when braking? (sign of warped rotors), does it pull to one sidewhen braking? jack each front wheel up (in turn leaving the other on the ground) and spin by hand, does the wheel bind in one spot (warped rotor). hold the wheel at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock and see if there is any movement in the rack end/tie rod. check the front 'Z' bar bush where it sits in the K frame
