Hi guys,,
Interior Lights is not working at all, where can i check fuse? if not the fuse, what else could cause the problem?? switch??
note: none of them are working,, interior, in the glove box and the one for ignition..
Cheers
I would say it's the fuse, open the hatch under the steering wheel and you will see the fuse box, there will also be a sticker saying what each fuse is, there should be one for "Interior Illum" check to see if that's blown
The fuse box is under the dash driver's side you will need to remove the cover under the steering wheel, 2 clips i think, and on the back side it will have a diagram showing what fuses are what. Then you can check the interior light fuse for replacement.
Haha you beat me to it Lightning VP!! So yeah what he said![]()
Thanks guys
chech the cigar socket doesnt have any metal in it so many time i see this problem where the ring of mobile phone charger falls off and shorts out the pins causing the fuses to blow
on some cars it will blow
the more he checks the more chance of finding his problem
Thanks guys,, found the fuse blown, changed it and the interior light work but.. never turn off! even turn the light switch on and off, close the door.. the light stay on forever!! NOW WHAT???
Thanks in advance
Stupid question but is the interior light switch in the "on" mode? It is the little switch that is to the left of the headlight switch. Just move it up and down.
As seraphic06 said, make sure the switch isnt on. Has caught out guys before. Otherwise there is going to be a short somewhere, which may be why the fuse blew in the first place.
any other input guys ???
Sorry, by short circuit I didnt mean a dead short circuit that would cause the fuse to instantly blow. A short circuit can also be a wire touching somewhere that it should not and bypassing part of the normal circuit. I would start by checking the switches in the doors. Take each one out (I think it is just one or two screws) and see if the light turns off. Use a multimeter to test the switch. I would firstly check the switch in the drivers door, most likely. Otherwise its going to be the headlight switch faulty, BCM faulty or wiring fault.
Thanks mate,, will do and update the issue
cheers
yes i had a similar problem but the interior light would not turn off! i removed it all together it annoyed me that much and now i want it back
Andrew426: You might want to check for stripped wiring... I had the same problem, it turned out there was a stripped wire shorting to the body. Only my one would burn both 10A & 15A fuses; a 20A (which I was really unsure about trying) did the same as your 15A, flattened the battery.
