Just got my car back from the mechanic and i noticed that the abs light is saying "ABS off" what could this mean???
Could mean low battery voltage. When the battery/alternator starts to go, ABS is one of the first things to go.
hmm pulled the fuse out and put it back in, and it went away. Might just have to keep watching it
dang was working for like 5 mins then the "ABS off" light turned back on
Man this is so annoying
MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
New springs and shocks , and changed the head gasket to get a RWC
i was looking thru the fuse box and the ABS is sposed to have a 10a fuse , but there was a 15a there insted, so i used a spare 10a and the light didnt come on, Could this be why the light kept coming on??
[QUOTE=trayner;954340]New springs and shocks , and changed the head gasket to get a RWC
check your wiring connections at the back of each brake rotor where the ABS sensors are, perhaps while fitting new shocks and springs mechanic might've knocked one of your sensors loose??
And, yes try to stick to the recommended fuse amperages![]()
In the how-to section I have made up instructions on checking the abs error log. That will tell you why the light is coming up and point you in the right direction.
ABS Error Codes
Different fuse wont be why the light was coming on. I would put the recommended fuse in. Maybe the mechanic noticed the light came on, fuse was blown and popped another fuse in there?
It's also possible the 15amp fuse was open circuit or otherwise dodgy like a lot of cheap fuses on the market. Open circuit would make the ABS OFF light come on.
