    Default vr engine whine

    my car seems to be making a bit of a whining noise when my foot is off the accelerator going about 60-70. at most other times and when my foot is on the accelerator it doesnt make the noise but wondering what it could be

    my engine whines to f**k, pretty sure mine is just belts overtightened, but if its only doing it at a particular speed i'd be looking more at your box/diff whining not engine.

    not sure what you mean by engine whine,but take your belts off the motor start it and rev it and possible a quick run a couple of hundred meters ,it wont hurt it as long as it doesnt get too hot from running too long ,but if it not there, its either the aircon bearings or power steering pump is stuffed .I had a Vp Berlina which I bough from a car yard very cheaply because of an engine whine ,a $30 bearing later every was fixed

    whines normally come from stuffed bearings or stuffed gearboxes or diffs, your power steering whines when its low on oil but thats only when your turning normaly and superchargers or gilmour belts or straight cut gears
    if its the last 3 then dont worry i wish i had them also
