    Default VS V6 cutting out randomly

    Hey guys i got a VS V6 and just today it cut out on me when driving then it started and was intermitent for the rest of the day..
    would crank over but wouldnt fire its definetly an ignition prob as it turns off like you pull the key out
    im thinking it maby a fault with the factory imobiliser as they cut injector pulse.. any surgestions??

    could be the DFI module. easy to replace if you can find it !!! checked your codes ?

    hasnt put out any codes thats what strange about it !
    ill cheak the DFI MOD i was thinking more the factory immobiliser dont know a huge amount about these cars though...

    Mods we need a sticky for this too.
    There are posts on this which you can do a search for.
    Mate change the CAS.

    hey m8 my vs did the same thing for months i finally changed my crank angle sensor and shes been good ever since i also had sum black soot on back of xaust pipe now its gone too so i would change the cas and go from there

    yer ill have a look at that its done 245 000 ks so its prob on the way out
    just strange that no codes come up...

    if you wait long enough a code will show.... but its easy to change so don't wait.
    Mine played up at 235 k's so i'd say its typical at that age. Fisrt it was DFI, then CAS then a coil, all in 3 months. Check your balancer and front oil seal while your there.

    Default Try relays

    Hi
    A few years back my VS started doing this, no error codes, and the auto electrians tried everything. It ended up being one or both of the ignition and EFI relays that are under the bonnet in the fuse box. We did not find this until the fault was so bad it rarely made it more than 100m before cutting out.
    Symptons have started again recently, these relays were not the quick fix again, so this time (at 225,000k's) I am going for the DFI module and CAS.
