hi everyone,
i have had the 'check engine' light come on the other day. my vs (v6 with gas) was idling so low that i'm supprised that it didn't die.
anyway, had a look at the fault codes and got 32 and 76. i'm thinking that 32 (air flow sensor) is causing the 76 (fuel/air mixture not right). is this possible?
so my plan is to go to wreckers and get the air flow sensor (the one that sits in between the air filter box and the engine). does it sound like a reasonalble thing to do? any idea how much i should be paying?
thanks
Before you replace it, do you have an oilable air filter? Try cleaning the sensor with some carby cleaner first, see how that goes.
no oilable filter, but i like your idea of trying to clean it first. it may even work because the problem was on and off (one day it started playing up, was ok the next day, and now it's not happy again)
thanks mate
fault code 15 16 whats the ecu sensor?and how do you change it?
