    Default vs club probs again

getting sick of this f**** car nothing but problems. think its the auto now. when i drive in d, and when its going through the gears it almost revs right out before changing also if i happen to boot it but rarely it sometimes wont get to next gear so then i have to back off then accelerate then it selects next gear. any ideas hopefully a cheap solution??? cheers

I've got similar problem, been happening for ****in ages now. only but only ever within the first 5-10mins of driving after left sitting for a while, or when it get's really warm.

took it in to get the auto serviced and checked (without pulling it apart) and mech said there where no visible signs of wear, sump was clean of ne metal filings and so was the filter. they said, might be the solenoids sticking mechanically, hence no error on the computer, and only fix for that is rebuild.

if you find a solution i wanna know

Service the auto first man, run some fresh fluid and filter in it, and see how it goes. Its not too expensive. But there is a chance you could be up for a new box, if it has been neglected.

If you do decide to go for a new box, a mate of mine is selling one from a VS SS, with 2200 stally and what not for around the $350 mark

Mine does the same. When I had my stage 2 kit put in they said it was fine, but I was told by some mates that the auto clutches (i think thats what they said. i know f-all about gearboxes lol) or something like that could be fvcked

Shift solenoids often cause problems. They can be replaced without having to remove the box. I paid around $300 for a new shift solenoid and valve body including labour.

Would a trans place pick this up if they are just putting in a shift kit or serviceing?
