interior light

hey my interior light does not work all fuses are fine i don't know Wat is wrong the boot light works but the inside don't any ideas.....

globe blown?
switch not working?
wiring damaged?

globe new ,switch is working fine i cant see any damaged on the wiring

First check that the manual switch turns the interior light on - its behind the headlight switch and you turn it fully clockwise. If this works then its probably the door switches which are probably dirty - remove and clean with sandpaper and the spray with WD40. If the manual switch doesn't work then try measuring the voltage at the light.

wrong globe type (12v 10w)? globe not seated proper? to fully inspect the wiring the headliner board has to come out.
though I use a 12v 21w power sucker so I does not have to be exact!

There is a right and wrong way to put the globe in isn't there? (I can't remember, only replaced one ever)
Make sure it is in the right way

Next step is to see if power is getting to the light unit when the doors are open - use a multimeter, circuit tester or a simple bulb fitted to an old holder.
Unless the wiring has been played with it's highly unlikely to fail...usually it will be the bulb, spring contacts or door switches (which can look OK but still not work) Globes can also appear OK but still not work.
