Left Blinker on VR not autocancelling?

Hey peeps. As the title says, my left hand indicator doesnt wanna auto cancel, i have to do it manually...can anyone help me with this? I remember reading about taking of the steering whell and adjusting 2 little white plastic wheels to fix but i dont wanna Stuff around taking the steering wheel off if thats not what i have to do. Cheers.

gday i heard it was a plastic ring with a switch in it that a arm on the steering wheel trips . just go to holden and get one from there

I had this on the 89 VN sedan. It was the flasher stalk not clipped all the way home. Pull the cover off and check that the unit is all the way in (clipped in)

Thanks boys. I reckon ur right green coz the bodgey ****er i bought it off put a custom steering wheel and cover unit on so i reckon he didnt clip the stalk back in properly when he finished.
P.S: Was just about to go and try it and it started ****ing down rain...have to wait till 2moro.

Update:
All fixed guys, i pulled the cover unit off, the stalk was clipped in properly but the little plastic bit that flicks in and out was worn down by the Can in the steering column that catches it. I just pulled the blinker stalk up and down pretty hard a few times to get it to come out properly and now its all fixed and it catches the can perfectly.
