has anyone know how to change the colour of the neeldes?? they are a very gay orange and want them to be a nicer red is it possible to do this???
If Barbie's so popular, why do you have to buy all her friends?
if you rip them off can you throw them out of whack?
i won't rip them out lol fromm want i have seen it looks like there is like a sticker on the needle that makes it orange this true???

I've changed the cluster face and ended up with the same problem. Gay orange. But I put it all back together with the intention of 'getting round to it'.
It's been a while since I pulled the dash apart, but if I was to hazard a guess - you might be able to pull the pins out then wet&dry the back of the needles & maybe paint 'em. Probably wrong. Maybe you can buy coloured needles.
In any case, I'm interested in a solution too ...
just cover the cluster with newspaper and spray away
i would rather take the needles out and paint them but is painting the only option???

could get a sticker and cut to fit i guess
hmm sure seems like a tricky one hey but cheers for ur help

Like I said. You'd probably wanna take the needles out, wet&dry the back of 'em so the light illumiates the needles. You're gonna be driving at night too, y'know.
Again - I haven't done it. But I'm thinkin' about doin' it now ...
yeah i would like it to be like a clear red hey

I have heard of people ( not in cluster of course) using a blade to scrap the orange off the original ones and use a special type of nail polish to cover it, also I know for a fact that you CANNOT get the paint on the sides of the needle as it'll stop shinning through, must only be on the underside.
Take the instrument cluster apart, remove the needle, maybe try scrapping the orange off (as suggested) but use GLASS PAINT to spray the needle in your new colour of choice. Available from bunnings and probably auto shops too. Comes in a small spray can and is semi-transparent with a nice deep colour. Spray it and put it back it. Move the needle and make sure it re-zeros (ie goes back to 0km and doesnt get stuck along the range). If it doesnt re-zero just take it off and move the needle slightly left or right until it does re-zero. Should be an easy job.

I have started to do this with some spare pins I had lying around, all I'm doing is using a razor blade/stanling knife to peel the orange off...havn't worked ot if it's a sticker or paint though, and it's a pain in the ass of a job, as it's quite thick
