sorry for a noobish Q here but will a large exhaust from a vn (cat back) interchange with a VS? both sedan both V6
would depend on the rear suspension
ok you mean if ones irs and the other isnt then it going to be different, is a VS excec s2 or VN berlina IRS?
id think that the vs probably would be. i think it was introduced late in the vr's.
A vs exec wouldn't have IRS
Both will be a rigid diff (live Axle).
sweet, so (sorry i only have 1 of the cars with me so i cant just look) anyone know if the pipework is the same? swappable?
my VS Berlina is live axle. I think it was an option as my mates acclaim has IRS.
Dont bother quibbling about different models having IRS or not. If the origonal purchaser wanted IRS then he would have ordered a car with it. There are no hard and fast rules as to which models were optioned with which features, because each buyer or dealer ordering a car could get whatever options they liked.
I have seen a number of very strangely optioned cars in the past. For example, My VR exec has only two options, Auto transmission and power antenna. There is an '88 VN exec at my local wreckers that has a sunroof, electronic boot release and factory tac.
Its not a commodore, but I know a guy whos '70 dodge was optioned with column shift and bucket seats.
