I believe number 1 starts on the right hand side, then 2 is opposite that, then 3 is next to 1 and so on, your coils should have the numbers on them.

OMG, I hate it how people want to reverse the directions depending on which way you might be facing! ie the left side as you face the car.... (I also hate people saying OMG, its a stupid chick thing, but have added it for annoyance value)

KISS; the car has a right and left side, the right side is the same side as the steering wheel is on, most people can cope with that.

Imagine a surgeon about to do an arm operation and asking the nurse, which arm nurse?.......as you face the patient, the arm on your left...LOL, possibly the surgeon marks the arm before the op with "this one"...LOL

Sorry, I cant remember which side is numbered 1,3, 5 etc because of all the confusion!!!!

Looking from the front of the car.

1 - first on right (ie passenger side)
    3 - 2nd on right
    5 - 3rd on right

2 - first on left (ie drivers side)
    4 - 2nd on left
    5 - 3rd on left
