Hey a mate of mine recently bought a complete T5 manual conversion from a VS V6 to put into his VS V8. He has made all the necessary modifications to make it suit a V8 i.e new V8 bellhousing, flywheel, shortened input shaft etc. but has been unable to acquire a V8 clutch fork as they're pretty rare and most places that do have them will only sell them as part of a complete conversion package, which is fair enough. However one of the places I rang that is supposed to specialise in commodores said that all you have to do to make a V6 clutch fork suit a V8 is to remove the big weight block attached to it and then it will work fine. If I had one for a V8 I could easily compare the two to work it out myself but I dont and have not seen one so i'd just like to know if anyone else has ever heard of doing this or has actually done it and if it all works the same without any problems.
Thanks...
