VS V6 blows fuse cuts engine...

my Ecotec equiped hilux surf has just started this new prob now GRRRRRRRR
ill start it up then somtimes it just dies after about 5 secs very occasionaly blows the fuel pump fuse ( no codes ) then when im driving it stops somtimes ill put into nutruel then itl start strait away.. iv cheaked the F/P wiring all good could it be a prob with the oil pressure switch also when driving it surges as the ignition is cutting in and out...

sounds like the fuel pump is on its way out

thats not somthing iv given much thought i spose it could be shorting out the positive somwere do they do that iv never heard of that thing....ill look at it!!

My money is on the oil pressure switch shorting out. Depending on how your setup is wired it might be possible to bypass the oil pressure switch to check this is the problem.

ive had a vn that was cutting in and out just like that ended up being the ecu cutting the pump on and off new ecu and problem fixed

haha Hako was on the money!! iol pressure switch was the culprit!
burnt it right out !!
also the wiring in the car is is all factory commodore wiring...the best way to go!
