Play in axle

I have a knocking noise coming from the back somewhere every time i go over a bump ever since one time at the drags and i found it to be my axles because all my bushes are fine and shocks are near new maybe 4 or 5 thousand ks
and when i gave the axles a shake they moved from side to side so i want to know what the problem would be
i was thinking th cv joints are knakared but could it be the axles or the diff which is rooted?
i dont think its the diff because the lsd still seems to work fine even after 260000ish ks and doesnt whine or make funny noises under load

The axles will move because they slide in the CV joints. Check the diff cradle mount.

yeah, check the diff cradle, it's not uncommon in IRS cars for the cradle to crack, especially on lowered cars
