hey i gotta replace the front timing case seal in my 5.0L just wondering whats involved and the best way or is there another way to stop a very slow leak?
gidday this be too late but ive just replaced the front seal umm after getting the balancer off simply taping in one edge off the old seal a tad with a screw driver made that easy to pull out- the new one i found near impossible to tap in so i got a block of wood and hollowed into a little for the crank end to fit leaving the outside to rest squarely on the new seal then after a couple of well placed smacks with the hammer drove it home.. one other thing that ****ed me off was the balancer was a very tight fit on the crank and being in the car made it very hard to line up the crank key..
