factory cai for vr stato 5 liter

Gday all, just want to get your opinions on what is the best factory [GMH] cold air intake for my vr 5 liter stato. i have read on the forum about the s/c vs v6 cai, and vs v8 series 2 cai , but i would like to find out which is the best working one . my stato has got the standard airbox. thanks in advance.

Only the V8 one fits over the radiator shroud so that's the only option, the VS S2 also has a nicer airbox lid you can use.

ps I got your card today, I'll do something about a memcal as soon as my new shipment of parts arrive (in about a week)

thanks Jason for the info . jason can you tell me if i have to bridge terminals 5 and 6 on the diagnostic connector to check timing with a strobe light ? thanks again Jason you are a great help to a lot of us on this forum. regards Barry.

Yep if 5 and 6 are the two on the top row in the middle that have contacts in them, those are the right ones for the VR, the engine light will flash whiel it's idling and then you set the timing to +10
