Need a quick reply on how to replace the fuel pressure reg. The one under where the throtle cable is, not the one at the end of the fuel rail. Easy to fix or let a mechanic do it??
The car is a VR commodore

what , you have 2 fuel pressure regs ?
i think its the pressure reg, its the thing under the big plate that holds the throtle cable on the fuel line from the tank

Let a mechanic do it.
I don`t know if the vr is the same but on the vs you need a special tool to get them off.

I think you are referring to the pressure dampener. Also in the fuel line. If I remember correctly the fuel line goes from the pump, through the dampener, through the injector rail and then to the regulator.
Im sure its an easy job. Just depressurise the fuel system by removing the fuel pump relay and running the car until it stalls (this sucks the fuel out of the system so it doesnt spray everywhere when you disconnect it). Then remove the faulty one, install the new one.
Ok, yes it must be the dampener thingy as it is before the fuel rail on the line from the tank. Thanks kopper69
