My Ex police commodore

i own an ex cop commodore that was used for country police ive found that my car has an LSD, harder suspension, Chip, front strut brace and everything electrical on it is after market. i just wanted to know if there is any other mods or differences to a regular commodore, cheers everyone

You started it by saying your car has a cop chip.

You'll find the aftermarket items were fitted after it was sold by the department....thats probably 8 to 10 years ago. The chip is a myth but it always makes a good story and is now an urban legend. Police cars had to comply with strict departmental guidelines and they had to be 100% legal.

Ok.
I also have a bt1.
It'll have a sump and tank guard.

The speedo needle light is placed above the speedo and on a seperate circuit for "stealth", also the speedo is in 1km increments.

It'll have an lsd, abs, srs, fe2 susp.

There are a few connectors under the dash and in the bay for copper type stuff.

If its an auto the shifter will change into second without depressing the inhibitor.

It'll also have a few holes in the dash that have been filled and painted, the most noticable is two small holes above the head unit.

It'll also have acclaim map reading lights and a trans cooler( if its an auto)

The front wheel toe angle will also possibly be set for better cornering.

Also the I.d plate number ends in bt1.

haha rofl, he reckons leprecauns as u can fit more in also his exhaust tip is bound to make a hell lot of difference. leprecauns + exhaust tip = MEGA HORSEPOWER that should be added to the preformance mods sticky haha

Another possible urban legend, is that they used EA/EB metal speedo needles, instead of the plastic holden ones because they were more accurate. Im not sure on this, but my old one deff had a different speedo needle to a normal commodore.

About the fabled cop tune..
When my gf got her bt1 a friend of her families claimed when the bt1s have finished their service with police they are detuned and its up to you whether to retune it.
But if thats true and you went to retune it, it would never be the same as the police spec. so imo they could of existed but not to the public.

The only difference was they had a higher idle. No extra power, nothing, just more revs so the battery didn't go flat with all the accessories they have

I have a bt1, it does not have a higher idle and it was never set with a higher idle, I worked at holden and this has been confirmed
