    Default Lost Alarm Disabling Key

    Hi all,

Just a real quick question - I've lost the alarm disarm key (to disable the module in the engine bay). I know the easiest thing is to go to the installer and see what advice they can give but assuming I wanted to do something which requires the battery unplugged (as soon as the battery is disconnected the alarm goes off hard until I put it back on) before I could see the installer is there any way to prevent the alarm from going off? I've heard something about the key needing to be in the ignition and it won't go off, stuffing a rag in the siren (seems like a good idea to me lol) or even temporary rewiring the thing - any ideas?

I tried searching but it came up with some pretty random stuff.

    Thanks guys

I'm not sure what the alarm disable key fits into to kill the alarm but as you are going to have to buy a new key and lock why not drill the lock out. When this happened to me in mates car (with a keypad) I did the rag stuffing thing and cut my arm in the process - then cut the backup battery....they are hard buggers to kill.

The barrel is probably in the siren in the engine bay, i dont really know what you would do, except pull it out and put 12v on it somwhere to stop it screaming and try and break the barrel so a screw driver will turn it maybe, then theres no need 4 a key. Or try and pull the barrel out and have a play with the wires on it to see which ones have to be joined or opened to stop it screaming.

note: this will probably break it and you will probably have to get a new one then anywayz.
