For once I'm not going out to write myself off on xmas eve. But they are flowing atm I must admit so excuse the waffle

Got bored and went down to the local zorst shop today where I walked away with a 2.5k quote! 1k headers( I presume Difillipo for that price) $750 for cats!!! I find that astonishing to be honest, from what I hear Magnaflow are fine and I could buy near 4 for that price on ebay. What cats could he be talking about? Now I've had 4 cars, all done the zorst and never have I been quoted so high. The most I payed was $1800 for a complete heads to tips set up on the vy.

Another shop quoted 1500 for paccies and pipes while using the hsv cats I all ready have. Now bearing in mind they are over 10years old how much more life would they have in them? I was quite surprised when he said that.

I reckon seeing's I've used paccies 3/4 times and once HM I keep an eye on ebay etc pick up some paccies for around $800, magnaflows for say $400 and get a shop to fit it and do the pipe work. I should walk away around 2k lighter in the pocket should I not? Yet $500 better off the 1st quote.

What size zorst are we talking? Single 3"? Twin 2.5"? Stainless? Mild steel?

Pacies you can get brand new for 5 litre V8's for around the $700 mark, then around say, $500 for a single 3" zorst using stock cats.

Everywhere is different though on prices.
