Default VR - Light on Speedo Arrow not working

The light on the arrow for the speedo is not working at first I thought it would be the fuse but my friend checked that and its all fine. so its probably the globe in the arrow (if there is one?) it its disconnected somehow. All the other arrows light up.

Should I buy a new dash cluster or is there a way to fix this up cheaper.

It is most likely to have a blown globe or the globe has a bad connection. Try replacing the globe.

    Have a look here:

This is the back of the instrument cluster. The little row of black things down the bottom are the bulbs. There are also four bulbs on the main cluster.

    Follow this guide: Broken Odometer

To get the instrument cluster out. Once you have it out the bulbs just twist out. Purchase a new bulb from most auto stores, put it in and youre away. Just remember not to have the key in the ignition while you have the instrument cluster out. This means no car radio while your doing this. If you do the ABS light will come on and stay on, and you will need to go down to holden to get them to clear it.

I'm going to buy these globes here because they'll look pretty cool.

Anyone object to this? Think they're crap? Could get them somewhere else cheaper?

It's possible you have a BT1 spec car (ex-police) which has a bulb for the speedo needle that is separate to the normal instrument illumination setup and is on whenever the ignition is on. If so the bulb will not be where Kopper69 indicates but on top of the speedo and visible if the instrument panel is slid forward.

Yeah not really a good idea. The lens in the instrument cluster gives the colour, the bulbs are just white. To change the colour you should change the lens (means buying a new fascia - ebay etc). Putting blue bulbs behind a red lens means not much light is going to get through and will look dim and blotchy.
