    Default shocks suspension question

Hey All i recently had my car lowered by a mechanic mate with some really low lovells springs(not cut)but after having them for a couple weeks my car got yellowed and when i tried to take it over i found out all my shocks were leaking and really stuffed..so i ended up getting new shocks i forget the name of them but there yellow!lol...just wondering if i put my old lovells springs in the new shocks that it would drive fine and they could handle how low it is ...or would i need shortened shocks?i have no clue about this stuff so please help me out thx.

not sure about your springs but i think if u get king super lows you need shortened shocks. they drop the car about 60mm i think

Thx for commenting MITTZ but does anyone know about it in a little more detail?apparently my lovells are the lowest commodore springs that lovells make so im thinking i might need shortened but i just paid a fair bit for these shocks so does anyone have some more info on this for me?

If the shocks are compressed that low then i would say they will only last a short time. Why didnt you get short shocks in the first place instead of buying standard height ones. But either way, grab yourself some short ones and bang'em in.

im going to go with VrWagz1 on this cos your springs are so low the shock is pushed up further then standed and taking up to 40% (at a guess) of shock travel away so when you hit a bump your smashing the top of the inner shock in to the top of the outer shock wich is smashing the seals ect apart hope it helps you
