i really dont want to have to break a window, looks like it will have to stay there for a while and get the keys posted

does anyone know if the coathanger trick will work and possibly pm me how to do it

theres a way u cn do it, did it on my vn, but somtimes it bends the frame of the door, ul need a strong piece of metal, 2 thick bits of plastic, what u do is at the top of the door, u knock the plastic pieces in a little distance from eachother and get sum1 to pull on them so u gt a gap from the roof and the door, slide in a metal peice and lever up the lock bit. but as i said it sometimes bends the frame of the door, didnt in my case tho goodluck

EDIT: by inside of door i mean actual interior of the car, not inside the interior of the door itself

Go to a 711 and buy a bucket and a screwdriver, use the screwdriver to pry the door forward get someone to hold it ajar and take the metal handle off the bucket and pull up the lock clip. Works ive done it like 3 times to my vp but might scratch your window tint and the door frame..

is there any way of gaining entry to the boot by the tail lights .. should be able to get hold of one of them quite easily .but ya have to mangle the light assembly holder as well which is plastic anyway i think ..unless ya got the led tails thats not a bad option.. personally i would call rac .. they break into cars day in day out ..should be quite good at it by now ..if your not in the rac or whatever maybe you can get a mate who is ..to call them and just say he was using the car

ive broken into my vn via taillight, requires smashin the light, ripping apart all the plastic part, then using a angle grinder, cutting away part of the middle section and reatching in (while scratching up shoulder) with a screwdriver and flicking the locking mechanism, tooka bout 45mins and worked, but...yea its a last resort and also this is a VR im nto sure howd ud work it.. good luck, im outa here

Make yourself up a slimjim out of a metal ruler (use google images to find where to put the notches/how big to make them) slide it down between your outer door skin and the glass (so it is inside the door, not just on the interior of the car) and fish around in there till you hook something and try to pull it up.

If the car has been deadlocked (the key turned a quarter turn anticlockwise in the drivers door) you are screwed. If you are lucky, one of your central locking motors has been replaced with a non-factory one in the course of the cars life. If this is the case, focus your attention on that door because often the deadlock feature doesnt work with central locking motors out of other makes/models of car.

    Good luck.

a second hand rear quarter window will set you back $20 - $25 they are a simple pop in and do up the nuts setup. although the rear parcel shelf might have to come out :P

if the two bits of plastic idea doesn't work for you the very rear quarter is your best bet.

you can pry the rear 1/4 windoe out of the door, seen it done and isnt too hard to refit....no need to smash windows to get in
