My VS is actually a Toyota Lexcen CSI.Which is the equivalent to the Executive. Its a bloody Holden to me.I changed the spark plugs to Bosch and gapped em at 1.5mm.And got some Bosch leads.Long overdue.A small miss at the start of accelaration then sluggy.Goes hard now.No miss, good acceleration. Then i saw the label with spark plug description saying to put in NGKs.Is this a Jap motor or an Australian motor? And would it make a difference about putting in Bosch plugs. Thanks again fellas.

The Toyota Lexcen is a Holden Commodore, just with different badges, bumpers/indicators, tail lights, boot garnish and side moulds. Engines in them were all Holden V6 (No Japanese, 4 cylinder or V8s).
Surprised that the CSI is the equivelant of the executive though, I thought all Lexcen's were based on the Holden Commodore Berlina model?
If the car's running well then I'd say don't worry about it, though if you're planning to modify it you may run into problems because the spark may not be up to the task - or it may be, I don't really know...
what gave you the impression that it may be a jap motor? the fact it said to use NGK plugs?
at least it didn't say to use bloody champion plugs, ive never liked them.
Yeah i thought whats goin on here NGKs? Me VS has got executive on the left side of the dash like it normally would be.But the compliance plate has Toyota and the steering wheel cover has a Toyota symbol with side trims Toyota too.Badging is all Executive Holden. Its a bloody hybrid, lol. Thanks for your advice once again boys.
Dosnt matter at all, its just a manufacturers recommendation. As far as im concerned in the regular spark plug range they are all one in the same. Some ever so slightly better than others, but if you change them when they are due then there never should be an issue with them.
Good onya wagzy,Thats what i wanted to hear, lol.Bloody goes heaps better, obviously, after about 4 yrs of no spark plug change. Thanks matey.
